We love bananas in my house. We always have bunches of them on hand for a quick breakfast or snack. Sometimes, we’re super busy and forget they’re there. Sometimes, they just ripen way too fast. Then the question becomes, “What am I going to do with all these bananas?”
That was the question last night. As I peeled all the bananas to begin making myself banana bread muffins, the dogs came running! They love bananas, too! They gave me their cute, puppy dog eyes and I was compelled to make them something yummy. So, I thought about what to make as I made 4 batches of banana bread muffins for the house. I was covered in flour and the kitchen was a disaster. I knew whatever I was going to do for the dogs had to be quick and easy, before I lost steam.
Bananas and peanut butter! It doesn’t get any easier than that, right?! What dog doesn’t love peanut butter?
- 1 cup of mashed bananas
- A couple of tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
- Add ingredients into a bowl and beat it together.
- Pour it into silicone muffin cups and popped it in the freezer. You can use metal muffin cups if you don’t have silicone ones.
- A few hours later, Voila!
Your fur babies will LOVE you!! Mine did! Tigger and Biscotti couldn’t eat them fast enough. I was afraid they were going to give themselves brain freeze!!
I’d love to hear what yummy treats you whip up for your fur kids! Feel free to share them below.
